Trick the Blogger Template

With my recent hacking and template editing attempts, I noticed that Blogger will kick out, or "not accept" the newly added code because it is "malformed". After scratching my head, which at this time was almost bald, I decided to go back to the basics. And the basics worked!!

Scripts and Codes:
Are you trying to add a code, maybe javascript, and followed the standard directions perfectly and you can't understand why it isn't working? Then change a few characters. EASY AS THAT!

Change these characters ( < > and " " ) to their character coding and it should work.

Before:
<style type="text/css">
.emph{
font-weight:bold;
color:red;
}
</style>

After:
&lt;style type=&quot;text/css&quot;&gt;
.emph{
font-weight:bold;
color:red;
}
&
lt;/style&gt;

META Tags:
Many times it's not a script you are trying to add, but a META Tag or set of META Tags? Because as we all know, SEO (or Search Engine Optimization) is a major useless thing you need to do when you are a Blog or Website owner. Unlike Scripts and Codes, you don't have to change the left or right pointing angles ( < > ) but only adding a simple slash ( / ).

Before:
<meta equiv="REFRESH" content="2; url=full-url-here">

After:
<meta equiv="REFRESH" content="2; url=full-url-here" />

If you have questions, then please ask. the worst thing I will say is "I'm sorry, I don't know".
