Logo is Important - More than You Know

What is A Logo?

Logo
n. pl. logos
A name, symbol, or trademark designed for easy and definite recognition, especially one borne on a single printing plate or piece of type.

Why would you need a logo?
Your logo is a genuine statement of you and your business to your clients. Existing clients, prospective clients, suppliers, staff, family and friends all identify with the purpose and values of your company through a logo. Your logo can influence whether a customer will buy your product or service, and can even attract the right suppliers with the right prices to your business. Your business image depends on a logo design that is polished and distinctive.

Not only does a high quality logo show your clients that your business is professional, but it also differentiates you from competitors and creates a powerful "catchy" image in the minds of your customers. When they need your product or service, they'll think of you because of your "catchy" logo.

Imagine in the future as you hand out your next business card your client stops and admires the style and colors of your logo. You feel a deep sense of pride, that everything your business stands for has been perfectly communicated in just a quick glance.

The logo design process begins with obtaining a thorough understanding of the brand for which the logo is to be designed. This understanding, comes through the design brief, which is a questionnaire our clients fill up at the time of placing their order. Some of the questions which we ask are:

1- What type of industry will the logo represent?
2- What should the logo communicate about the business identity?
3- What are the most prominent characteristics of the industry?
4- What colors would be used in the logo?
5- What type of media will the logo being used? Business Cards, Letter Head, CD cover, Clothing, Internet?

Once the 5 questions have been answered, now the process of actually designing the logo begins.
